I am going with Wicked actually (if all goes as planned), and I am super psyched for it! It’s my dream to move to New York one day and frequent plays and musicals as often as my money will allow me to. I’ve actually heard of Next to Normal – I’ve heard a few songs here and there, but I’m not that into it yet. I probably will be, though, after I give it a few more listens.

Wow!! What an amazing birthday present! It is my dream to go to NY and stay for a month and see a broadway show every single night!!! That’s after I win the lottery to pay for it all of course LOL. You are super lucky. I love all the shows you picked (except ITH, I’m not too familiar with it). But I have to say that my #1 choice would be a musical called “Next To Normal” – AMAZING! Then of course I would want to see Shrek The Musical, Legally Blonde and Billy Elliot. I am such a kid at heart LOL. There are so many more that I would want to see, but I could just go on forever and ever. Of your choices though, I would go with Wicked!

I haven’t heard anyone who actually hated Spring Awakening. Maybe you got a bad cast? I don’t know how it is live, but I do love the music, and I’m still hoping to catch it on tour someday.

I wish I could have seen them with their original casts as well (Rent too!). I’ve never heard of Thoroughly Modern Millie – maybe I’ll give it a try if I remember.

I’m really disappointed I didn’t see Spring Awakening or Wicked with the original casts…I still haven’t seen them at all. One of my favorite musicals is Thoroughly Modern Millie — that was so much fun.

It’s pretty amazing how many local productions you were able to attend. Unfortunately, we almost never get any shows over here (Hairspray came once, but I wasn’t able to go), so my only chance at seeing any musicals is by going somewhere else. Thanks for the suggestions, Michi!
