Places to Go: Singapore

Status: Never Visited
Continent: Asia

Why? A couple of years ago, my neighbor (who travels a lot for work) went to live in Singapore for six months, along with his wife, who accompanied him for a couple of weeks when she was able to get time off from work. They came back raving about this little country that they got to experience. I had known very little about it before, except for the fact that it had very strict laws. My neighbors loved the country because of the fact that it was apparently extremely urbanized, because it was an extremely safe and neat city, and also because almost everyone knew how to speak English, making it easier to move around. Every since they returned from their trip, I’ve really wanted to see this city/country. I actually have a couple of souvenirs that they bought me hanging up in my room, urging me to take a trip when I save up enough money to fly that far.

Same here! Everytime I learn more about these places that I haven’t been it makes me hope I’ll win the lottery so that I’ll be able to go. There are so many interesting places in the world to visit!

I’d love to go to Singapore again! I lived there once, for about one and a half year, around 1998 (I was only 6 years old). It’s a fantastic place! It’s clean, neat and organized as well. The food is delicious.

What I love most is the clean air that allows me to walk to my destination.. You might find that a bit strange, but the air where I live now is full of pollution.. Having to walk to anywhere you want to go makes a healthy lifestyle as well.

My parents said that I could go there with my sister around July or August, but I haven’t decided yet. Though I’d love to see the Youth Olympic Game they’re hosting in August. I’m excited to go there again. The last time I went there was 6 years ago.. :p

Singapore is definitely a nice place to live in. I live there. :D

But some of the laws here are ridiculous like not being able to drink any water or eat candy in the train or you’ll be fined. hah.

Plus, the shopping here ain’t that bad too. A lot of things to do. heehee. :D
