First off, I want to mention that – after nearly two years of inactivity – I have finally relaunched my fanlisting collective, Close to Heart. I’ve been pretty absent from the fanlisting world, but I’m trying to slowly remake my collective. I’ve revamped the pages, added a new skin (featuring the cast of Lost), and am now going through my fanlistings in order to weed through the ones that I’ve lost interest in. I also recently applied for a few new fanlistings (all television characters), something which I haven’t done in awhile. Anyways, if you’re interested, take a look at the new layout that I’ve created, and please give me some feedback! I know it’s not the best since I haven’t used photoshop in over six months, but I did my best.
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I just turned eighteen yesterday. My family is planning on traveling to New York City on our way to Virgina Beach this July, and as my gift my parents decided that they would buy me a ticket to any Broadway show of my choosing. I was nearly speechless when they told me, since seeing a show on Broadway has been one of my dreams for a long time (I almost got to see Rent before it closed, but I sadly wasn’t able to go). I have never been to New York before, so just the news that I was going to be walking the streets of Manhattan made me giddy, so this gift has me nearly over the moon. My parents hate musicals, so I thought that there was no way they would ever make time for me to be able to go see a show. I am going to be seeing the show with my sister (whose birthday is in a week, and who is also receiving a ticket to the show as a gift), and am really looking forward to it. The hardest part of this whole process is going to be picking a show to go see! So I’ve included a list of my top 7 shows that I’ve listened to and am familiar with.
